Title: Holmegaard and Sudbury replica, maple and oak
Post by: Jurinko on January 25, 2021, 04:24:18 am
Two copies of ancient flatbows: Holmegaard and Sudbury made of maple and English oak.
Length 66" ntn, poundage about 47lb@27", set 1.25" (maple) and <1" (oak).
Finished with oil and wax, bowstring B55.

Both excellent designs for the wood used and Sudbury being very elegant.

Very well done!  Those styles are on my "do" list.  Hope I can do close to your work!

Those are two very nice bows! The tillers do perfectly match to the bow profiles. Well done!

... I must definately get some oak!
