Title: cherry & hickory
Post by: catfishon on May 03, 2008, 10:43:33 pm
i know there not the best choices,  but i had them  laying around and glued them together alittle while ago. think it will work ? the cherry board is 61" x 2" wide and i planed the hickory down to about 1/8 inch.
any ideas on the best profile for this bow ?
i also have some good looking cedar , will it work with hickory or bamboo back ?

Cherry and Hickory will be fine together....just don't go for no 60+ pounder ....and you will be fine....as for the Cedar....not Bamboo...go with the Hickory....and make it thin....don't want to overstress the Cedar :(
