How do you like the reflex held in this fifty pounder?
-
Oh yea a pic
-
How much did you start with
-
Looks nice and flat. Bet it will sling them!
67”??

How much reflex is there, and how much did you start with? How much returns after unbraced and sitting for awhile? Knowing your design, and seeing this, id say you have a VERY strong performance bow right there.
-
Quick!! first one to guess the reflex before and after gets bragging rights!!!
I say 3" and now theres 1"!!!
-
2-3/4 now 1-1/2 but it might be a bit heavier than fifty pounds. Can’t tell Steve that just yet . 😁Arvin

70” hedge. Sleek I can’t shoot it but it’s been to 28” fifteen or so times. I have high hopes for it. 2-3/4 ,7/8, 1-1/2 sleek
-
70" are smooth but they do have a price to pay for being that way. They carry the extra limb weight. If your not shooting flight they are purty easy on the fingers for shooting all day.
Yer getting the 2x4 grip going too I see. keeping the weight in the middle. It's catchy and after this year (2021) at TO yer going to see more and more. I can hear the screaming already.

Great looking osage stick. Nice job!
-
Nice one. At 70" it should be good for a 30" draw
-
It looks like it will have great cast, and the new grip is nice as well. Have you tried making one with quite a bit of reflex in the entire limb? It would be good to compare the two designs. Marc has made many bows that are highly reflexed and super performers... :OK
-
Marc I agree with the 30” . It might take more set so maybe start at 28 and go longer draw and check for set as we go. Arvin
-
The force draw from 27-28 “weight didn’t change much. Could the longer bow have flat spot at 27-28” or is set accruing? Arvin
-
I like it! More pics?
-
if you shoot it though a chrono, y ou can tell if its taking set... looks great congrats

So long as its F/D doesn't weaken at any point of the chart then what you have there is exactly what you want to happen.
-
Arvin, have you tried any at 30" draws yet? I have a 44#@28 70" long That I drew out to 30 the other day but didn't weight it. Has about 2 1/4 reflex before bracing and 1 and 3/4 after shooting. I haven't flight tested it at 30" yet though.
