does anyone use or recommend these? they are the screw on tips that have a threaded tip insert for changing points I.E. field to broadheads.
Are there any other alternatives?

I've not used them. I have broadhead arrows and field point arrows.

I'm with Pat!  Might be a bit of a challenge getting the insert centered!

They are easy to mount.

Tophat products for wooden shafts are easy to use, if you are using their threading tool with some rubbing with an hard bar soap first, makes it sliding easier and not break the shaft or get stuck to early. For me, it's the only points i'm using since discovering this little trick ;D (No need for glue and tapering of the shaft before assembly makes it perfect for outdoor-repairs)
