Am curious about the construction/making of a fiberglass wood laminate bow and the basics of how to do it

Jacob, I'm fairly new to the discussion board and the art, but I would recommend rawhide over glass.  It's cheaper (I think), safer to work, reportedly indestructible, and, most importantly :D, it's naturally occurring.
