Title: Handle problem

I have a nice Osage bow in the works. When bandsawing excess thickness I took to much off in the handle area,basically it’s 1/2” thick the full length of the bow. Can I glue a handle on without it popping off? Not a lot of room to go down past fade. Any Ideas? It’s 61” ntn and 1 1/2” wide at fade for 10”, then tapers to 1/2” nocks for now.
