This coming Tuesday was when I planned to leave for the 2020 Tennessee Classic but as we all know, sadly it won't be happening this year. I had a thought(scary some times) that why don't we post pics from past Classics to help us remember how much we love this event, love seeing old friends after another year and getting to meet new friends. So I'll start off with what I usually see when I get to Twin Oaks...

I should have rolled into twin oaks yesterday afternoon. I'm really going to miss my camping spot next to the creek this week. I hope everyone is staying healthy through this mess.

Thanks guys, I am truly sad and guess I will be all this week, I was down at the cabin all weekend but if it was Classic week I would be down until next Monday. We talked about a lot of you guys over the weekend, especially the ones that would have been there already. I will sure miss it and all my old friends, guess their is always next year. :(

Thanks Clint. Collectively we all have lots of memories in pics to help ease the pain.
Pappy, Just think, a week from tomorrow we will start the countdown to the 2021 Tennessee Classic and have twice as many stories as usual at next years campfire. I know it's hard on you and the Twin Oaks gang but hopefully these pics will bring back some fond memories to help ease the pain. (=)

Well, my selfbow challenge bow is almost done. Just need to shape the grip. I started working on it today and something was missing, the smell wood smoke. I started a small fire in front of my garage. It's not the classic but it's as close as I can get right now.

Yep,kind of lonely down here, did have a few down yesterday for some shop work and shooting, the weather is beautiful and I am getting more time in the shop than normal. Miss y’all. Pappy

Attendance was down a bit this year, think we had 13 in all in and out ;) :) Couldn't have been the weather, beautiful all weekend. Missed yall. I did manage to get a little more shop and shooting time. ;) Usually I would be there until mid day Monday to be sure I get all the yanks out of my hollow, this year I came home around noon Sunday, the place was empty. ???

Had fun shooting the Mini Classic with selfbows and two founding TOBH original members! Them to fellers can light it up on the course too! Weather was as good as it gets this time of year here. Sunday now and we got storms inbound!
Got the pool open a week earlier than usual. Thats rare, told my wife "this wont be happening on Classic Weekend ever again, so enjoy it baby".

Goober is still on a generator and lost the front rail off his porch.

I believe it. They had some chuckle heads who stayed on a roof thru this storm. There is a video of them somewhere in digit land I am told. They were holding on like a cat to a canary.
Guess they are going to do a invite only KY Classic Friday in western KY. Think I will go and represent Tenn Selfbow men. I got a call this morning for the invite.

I'm really bummed we couldn't do it this year. I've been looking forward to it since the day I left last year. I had plans to bring my son, come up the weekend before and spend the whole week making bows and breaking rocks. I only took three pictures the whole time because I was too busy having fun.
