Title: Bow Cracks
Post by: William on April 10, 2020, 04:34:39 pm
So recently I made a ash and fiberglass bow. I put about 200 or so shots through it and it started to sound like a box of rice krispies. At first I thought it was glue or varnish on the fiberglass crackling. I ended up finding 2 small cracks on the side of the bow one is on the belly underneath the riser an one is on the back under the fiberglass. I ended up putting the bow on the tillering tree and put ca glue in the cracks and it only makes noises when string the bow should I be worried.

Hang it up before you get hurt.

Seriously, hang it up. This thing is warning you of impending doom.

The only time a bow should make sounds being drawn is in a movie where the director has the Foley crew put in leather creaking noises for dramatic effect.

Time to start another! You got this next one.
