Rendezvous time is almost here and  realized I needed a Period correct fork for my eating kit. I decided to try my hand at making one today and I think it came out pretty good. And it was fun to make.I think I have another addiction. (f) ;D

Very nice, Eddie.  8)   :OK  The anvil looks well used.

Nice work!  I agree with Pat B, that anvil has had a few whacks!

I'd be quite cautious of using bone in my eating kit. The bacteria scare me. Nice looking metal work there though.

I usually have more bacteria on my hands during hunting season when eating in camp and I'm not going to stick the bone in my mouth. Plus it's sealed in lacquer. ;)

Thanks, guys. Kevin your comment is all I need. Now I need a forge. Found out what a pain it is to heat with a torch, lay it down, pick it up, lay it back down,,, :(

Eddie
are you thinking propane or solid fuel?

				Eddie
That gives a new meaning to a deer bone shank!
Like it.

Kevin, I'm open to either one. I have a large propane tank.
Thanks, Shawn.

Nice Eddie, and bones don't scare me either, if they would hurt you I would be dead by now for sure. ;) You might look into the one Greg and Big A made for us, I only used it once so far to soften a large farriers rasp and it took less that 5 minutes to get it to non magnetic . I can see it beats the way I have been doing them in the fire. ;)

Thanks, Mark. I looked at it when we were there. But there were a few things I wanted to ask Big A about but we all got sidetracked.
