I dont think this is an issue but I would just like to double check on these darkish spots. I just want to make sure it's not from a sick tree or something. Thanks!

Love that red colored Bodark. Gorgeous.
-
If it's osage it shouldn't be a problem.
-
Yea its osage. I was hoping it was fine because it looks sweet!
-
I have one like that but it's about ten times more mottled. It's fine.
-
Does anyone know what causes that?
-
It could be mineral or fungal or just genetics. I've seen a few that were weakened by the staining but generally the streaked wood is good and sometimes superior.
-
The red streaked Osage seems to be harder and is beautiful...
-
Beautiful red color on this one. Hard as a stone as well.
-
Oh man you have a gem there.
-
One of my favorites for sure. Thanks.

I've had my share of bad luck with streaked osage lately. Sometimes those streaks end up being weak spots that separate inside the limb.
