Nice! I don't wander out of the bow topic too often. Glad I did and thanks for posting. Might have to try and work on a few of those this winter.

Being a wood carver ive made a few of those myself .that one is a good lookin cane .

Nice! Mine is just a piece of gnarly cottonwood, with a natural bend, and most of the bark still on! A friend said his dad called it a shillelagh. Hopefully, I won't need it as a long term aid.

The stick is some kind of fir. The handle is Yew and the small round part is Hickory.

That reminds me! I need to finish carving the wood spirit on my rain fly pole! Only been saying that for about 5 years or so! (lol)
