Title: Belt for western belt buckle
Post by: Chief RID on September 11, 2019, 04:34:11 am
I always thought I would lose this gut one day but it ain't going to happen. I need a belt that snaps so I can use different belt buckles. You would think a lot of places would have them but they don't.

Try Tandy. They sell pre-made belt blanks and may even sell tooled ones.

I'm starting to think suspenders for myself. Belt gets so uncomfortable and dang pants just want to fall down. Either that or maybe become a plumber. No offense to any plumbers out there.

Chief, another option is hobby lobby if you have one close by.  They sell belt blanks that you cut to your personal length.  They have tooled ones and plain ones that you can tool yourself.  They're in natural color so you can easily dye them to the color you want. I did this one about a year ago.

Try a Western style store, Boot Barn, or a local store.  Possibly Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops, or Sportsman's Warehouse, Scheel's.  Might look online, too.

I have belt leather and snaps so I could make you a belt. I don't do any tooling but I can stain it medium brown.

Thanks Pat. We have a Hobby Lobby here and I have not checked there. Thanks Josh for the info. I am looking forward to wearing my belt buckle collection again.
