I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure I have identified the problem.

Is that a groundhog? How long since you drove that vehicle.
-
Yes and that vehicle gets driven almost every day.
-
I guess it's relatively cool on top of the intake manifold. Be sure he(she)'s not gnawing on anything.
-
if it wont run, choke it...
you need more squirrel power than that
looks like he escaped from his fly wheel...
uhhhh JW!!!! I'm not doin as well as you would on these one liners... help :)
-
Maybe Bill Murray can give you a hand.
My son had one chew up a whole bunch of wires up on his car. He was driving it almost every day to.

Looks to be eatin' size! And I hear the hide is good for rawhide! Btw, check his driver's license and proof of insurance! Your policy probably doesn't have a "groundhog protection" clause! >:D (lol) -C-

Looks like he's doing pretty good for a quadruped... ;)
-
And that's why every single woodchuck must die.
-
He looks like he wants you to hand him a 9/16 wrench.lol I love the picture, but I'm glad it your engine he's working on and not mine. He looks like a real shade tree machanic.

buddy of mine just had to do about 1500 dollars worth of work on a truck that he drives almost every day because a squirrel eat through some stuff on the back side of the engine that ended up required fuel rails and all being replaced. Apparently some of the older vehicles have a vegetable based insulation on some of the wiring that critters seems to enjoy.
-
At least it wasn't a bear! They have totaled about 10 cars out here this year alone! They don't do engines, though >:D! Yet! (lol). Cats seem to have a habit of napping on a warm engine block and getting caught in the belts.

They make a funny sound when you start it up

That is a company truck at work. It gets driven all the time. That groundhog keeps going in the garage. We have had to run him out a few times. We saw him crawl up into the engine on that truck. It took some work to get him out.
-
Seems like a pellet gun, or a trap/poison is in order...
-
Im with sleek .its time to do this guy in ,after doing auto repairs on vehicles for 40 years because of rodents l know someone is going to pay for what he can do to a vehicle.
-
Yep! Time for drastic action, and a cookout! Btw, the Bears chalked up another de-upholstering job last night!

Never seen a Ground Hog under the hood but have seen my share of squirrels and mice, they can sure do some damage. :)

Perhaps I will send a carrier falcon his way to summon him. Or maybe I should just fox the summoning to him?
