My last two wiggly billets. Yew, 66.5"NTN 42#@27". 172FPS with a 400gr arrow @ 27". Chew hoof arrow pass and some kind of reddish wood for tips. Bloodwood or Kingwood I think. The wiggly bits are just out from the fades so it kind of cut down on working limb. I had steamed enough reflex so the tips were past the handle but it mostly pulled out. No heat treat. It actually shoots nice. Bit of hand shock though. A nice break from backed R/D's.

Very nice! I love the texture on the back.

About the back :-[ :-[. I had to reduce the sapwood a bunch. I really prefer a natural back on bows but this one had too much sapwood. So I tried to imitate all the natural grooves and unevenness. I used all sorts of tools to try to imitate Mother Nature but I should know that's next to impossible. The back sort of looks OK but it's not quite right. The glare of the sun hid most of it from the camera and the part that shows look passable so I went with it. Thanks for the compliment :)
