I just cut some of my home grown bamboo. I read somewhere that if you leave the leaves on they will dry faster. Sounds reasonable, but is it true?

Never tried it but they will dry in a month in the right conditions. Just remember better arrows are made from well seasoned shoots.

Conditions are perfect here right now. It doesn't get much hotter than this here. It's 6:00 PM and 84° now. Probably sounds nice to you southerners but it's hot for us.

Put them in the sun on a hot day and rotate them occasionally. They will turn a nice straw color and it will speed up the drying.
