Post by: dylanholderman on July 16, 2018, 08:25:51 pm

14ga steel two are from stainless and ones from mild steel, i think i like the mild steel one best.

Nice! I wish I had the tools to bang them out that fast!

Well, I don’t find em ugly, bet the critters on the receiving end would disagree though.

Aren’t barbs stil illegal?

I agree with Morgan. How such do they weigh Dylan?

Ryan most of the states changed the laws to make barbs legal now. All those mechanical broadheads from compound and crossbow shooters must have got them to change rules. Might want to check your rules for your state again.

All you need to nick these out is a angel grinder with a cut off wheel(and a face shield)

I’ve not weighed them yet (have too find the kitchen scale  ::))

I made em with the barbs because I thought they looked better  (lol)
I’m going to make one with more barbs for bow fishing.
See if I can get a gar or carp.

Why do fishing points have multiple barbs? It's done all over the world so there must be a reason. ???

More chances to get a good bite is my guess  ???

Fish must be softer than mammal flesh. Or maybe, it just occurred to me, you don't have to pull a deer in with a string like you do with a fish.

Probably has something to do with the fact that if the arrow falls, out of the deer, you dont have to swim in waternwith who knows what to pick it up.

arrow with trade point looks really great  :OK
i have a doubt on the fishing point tough. I fear that such a large head will tear the fish if it is too small of if you hit offcenter
a thin point with a flexible barb would be more efficient himo

Ehh we’ll see I’m aiming for gar and carp so I think that they should be okay?
And most primitive fishing points I’ve seen are either some big barbed thing or a long thin point, I’m planning on making some arrows like that too :)
