Title: lilac any good for arrows?

hey guys i have a classic lilac in the back yard that is badly overgrown and needs cut back.
i know to be on the lookout for bow staves but is it any good for arrow shafts ???

I've never tried lilac but if the shoots are appropriate size give them a try.

I made some. They were very pretty-really white woods and glassy smooth-byt really heavy for the spine, and had a tendency to lose all their straightness after every shot
