I found a couple of dings in my Maple backed Yew. it looks like they were caused by the string. Anyway I'm going to try to steam them out. I've done it before on unfinished bows but this is the first time I've tried it on a finished bow. Do I have to remove the Minwax "Tung Oil" finish before I steam?

It will help. You can lay a wet cloth on the spot and use an iron to localize the heat and moisture.

That's what I was planning to use, it's worked well before. I'll see what happens.
