				I saw the Viking necker and I had a couple of hours so I decided to get one going too. I used an old Simmons file, fired up the forge and when it got that file hot I started the tip, then roughed in the bevels. Then I cut the tang out and I hope tomorrow I can get it drawn out enough for the handle

				This is after the last thermocycle. When it cools good I go for heat treat, I'm thinking about a hamon on this little necker but not sure yet

				I love this knife shape and your implementation is very good
There is, though, one thing that crosses my mind every time I look at it
will I have my fingers pinched if I apply strong pressure on the handle?  :D

I talked to a friend of mine that uses this style knife every day for the last couple years.
he says short of trying to use it as a pry bar .
