As the title says, this is my first ever harvest with a home made bow. I deer hunted this fall, and had a real close encounter with a 5 pointer that didn't go my way. Now with plenty of snow, it is time to go after the rabbits. This little guy thought I couldn't see him under a bramble of multiflora rose. Now I get to treat the wife to roasted rabbit with leek and white wine sauce.

That what it's all about. Congratulations Kyle that's a real trophy. Be a really good tasting bunny. I want to hear the story.

Congrats on a nice shot.Sorry about the busted arrow.Like BJ said this is the time to harvest cottontails for eating.
For some reason we're shy of many cottontails around this year over here.Could be because we've got a couple dozen cats living in the barn shed too????....lol.I know I've seen remains of bunnies in the shed quite often.Still got the squirrels around though.....lol.

Nice shot! That will give you confidence the next time a deer walks into range.

Very cool! Nice shooting! Those little critters are not easy to hit. Too bad the arrow had to break...
