Hey gang. Here's a couple of birch bark quivers I made. Nothing fancy, but they work :D

Hi, Nice man!! What is the fur at the top of the quiver's?
-
Thats where the Easter Bunny ended up ;D
Nice quivers rebel
-
Haha Dana, but only after I took all his eggs ::) Thanks for the compliments guys. I got the fur as scraps from a local furrier, so not sure what the fur is on the open sided quiver. The fur on the small tube quiver is the face of (I think) a weasel. The bag of scraps also included a bunch of seal fur that I use for rests and strike plates, and strips of muskrat and mink perfect for silencers.

Too small for a weasel dats a bunny IMO, as in Easter :o

those are nice dude
i personnaly couldnt tell ye what that fur is,but i will admit i havent seen my neighbors black/white cat in some time now. >:D
-
sailordad it may well be your neighbour's cat lol, but it's definately not rabbit. the tips of the ears are visible just on either side of the dark patches on the head. anyways, I have a bag of those little faces in varying colours, I'll have to see if I can recognize anything in them. Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

I'd like to see the fancy ones. These look great to me!

Thanks PK and rich. My work is more "rough assembly" than the fine craftsmanship shown by so many people on this site. I just love makin stuff though, tool marks, loose stitching and all lol.

looks good man. ;D
-
look great, but are they durable? like if u fall on them would they crush?
-
The bark is pretty flexible, but I imagine sitting or falling on it would do some damage. But given the quickness which with they can be made, and the availability of the materials I don't worry about it too much. Mostly I make em for fun and target shooting.
