Title: A couple of pointy rocks
Post by: bronco611 on December 09, 2017, 03:55:45 pm
It was still rainy and cold in southwest Georgia this morning so I decided to wait until tomorrow morning to hunt, so in the mean time decided to make more bullets. (W (SH) (=)

Lookin good bronco. So good your getting pretty artsy too.
I like the way you coaxed the colors out.

the reddish color on the tip of the white point was cool looking when i knocked off a large flake, so i thought let me see if I can keep some color with this one. I think that it will be in a display case for now. the brownish point has 2 dark thin bands completely around the tip that I managed to maintain. I think it is fun trying to keep the colors intact and very interesting looking when you can actually do it. thanks for the comments I still have a lot to learn but enjoy the experience and the therapy that goes with making points. One day I may try a knife blade or a very long point but for now I am just trying to get them made and trying to get parallel flake patterns down. Things sure slow down when everyone hits the woods with their sticks and strings.

Nice points Bronco611. Nice job saving the colors and very nice symmetry. Thanks for sharing it's nice to see some stuff again.
