thankyou Zuma. Nice furs!

Nice looking work.An encased hide tan.Fur looks plenty fluffy and clean. Many times road kill can be mutilated a little more than that.Good hide for a project you might have.

Looks good Zuma!
Don't know if you did or not, but while breaking the hide, did you notice it being more stuff and tougher to break between te shoulders and te base of te tail? A good way to thin this down is to hit it with an angle grinder with a sanding disk until the hide is a uniform thickness. At least it works once the hide as been fleshed, stretched and dried. You end up with a big pile of rawhide dust that should work great for use glue.
You can make some pretty one up hides look great with a little needle and thread and a washing with hair conditioner.

Don, Nice I had a bad picture in my head of a ole rag muffin coon but you did a great job on a fur on tan. I like. Bob

Thanks Glis Ed Bob
Mo__Catcher Thanks I may just try some grinding. I do it on soapstone all the time :)
But why not dry?
Yep the coon is tough from the armpits up. Just like the deer hide. When Ed talks about
the spine to the skull he means it.
