				Okay. I'm almost afraid to ask this question, but I just gotta...
How do you folks pronounce the O in Osage?
Do you say "Oh"sage, or "Ah"sage?
I've always said "Oh"sage, and it sounds so right to me, even if I'm saying it wrong I don't think I'll ever be able to stop. No one even knows what Osage is up here, but the other day I heard someone say "Ah"sage and it got me thinking.  ???

Calling osage  "Bodark" in Kansas just gets ya funny looks. Here they call it Hedge...  ;)

				I was in college before I found out it was Osage  orange, as well as hedge apple!  It was almost a weed around St Louis, we used to have hedge ball "fights", like dodge ball!  I have to go back to the books to refresh my memory, don't think it grows around here very well, the rain is more than sparse!
