Title: Weak/strong

When I pull this bow a little the part above the arrow goes up. Does this mean the left limb is strong and/or the area above the arrow is weak?

I think a few things can make this happen on a character bow, but ya, probably the main one being the left limb is stronger. Let's see er bend

Thanks Goat, I'm just starting. I'm trying to follow "no set" to the letter. I'm a little gun shy after the two bows taking set at Cumberland.

Yes, both is true.
Try to get a stick bending from the outers to middle to inner third.
When you clap the bow in a vise and put a weight on the tip you can measure the amount of travelling. Compare to the other limb and you see easily the stronger one.
