My Joanna received her Bear possibles bag that was made by PatB this afternoon. Some time ago I sent out 4 bear paws to two members of Primitive Archer to have possibles bags made. Pat sent me the one he made awhile ago but I had to wait until the time was right to give it to my grand daughter. Wife and I got home from a South Dakota visit this morning and our kids came by for a visit. The smile on Joanna face says it all. Pat did an OUTSTANDING job on the bag and went above and beyond with added a custom made hunting knife and sheath attached to the shoulder strap. The photos do not do this bag justice. It is a piece of art.

Not sure why the photo is sideways.
-
I'd say that worked out very well Jeb. Looks like your granddaughter thinks so to. Nice work Pat.

That is so cool. 8)

It is really beyond cool. The inside of the bag has a divider so there are two sections and Pat stitched in a leather tag with a personal message written on it. The photos do not do this bag justice. It is a work of art for sure. She asked her dad if she could take it to church on Sunday, lol

Wow! Super nice.
-
That is awesome! Great work Pat. You sent that bear paw to the right person Jeb.

Jon, I'm sure happy Joanna likes the bear paw bag.
Joanna has already proved herself as a sportswoman and a hunter so I thought one of our own Dylan Holderman's knives would be appropriate. Dylan forged the knife for me and I added the spalted burl scales.
Joanna, the bag has a lifetime warranty. As long as I'm alive I'll fix any mishaps and even add upgrades if possible. Enjoy the bag and use it. It should last your lifetime. The knife sheath has a belt loop if you want to carry it on your belt instead of the shoulder strap.

Joanna at the age of 12 has three deer under her belt and has taken a bigger buck than her two brothers. You should have seen her light up when I gave her the bag. I can't thank you enough Pat for the beautiful work you put into this bag.

Fantastic!
-
Awesome work Pat, love the color combo of the leathers.
-
This is so cool, great work Pat :OK

That looks cool.nice job Pat.
-
Nice work Patrick. You can tell by the reactions too.
-
Fantastic job Pat!
-
Great looking bag, Pat. You've always done some sweet leatherwork.
-
Pat always has to go above and beyond, can't help himself. And when a kid is involved, he even has to beat his own expectations. I think he nailed it again! Good work, Pat.
JEB, I'd really like to see that bag in person. Maybe you and Joanna can fetch it along when you come to 2018 Black Hills Turkey Camp? Hmmm?
-
Well J. W. Wife and I just got home from the Black Hills on Friday. Joanna's older brother was attending a Christian youth camp at Custer State Park so we stayed out there to look for knapping rocks. Was out there for almost 3 weeks.
A turkey hunt is a worthy reason to go back sure.

Thanks everyone. It was a pleasure to contribute a part of Joanna's hunting kit and one I know will be with her for years.
Seeing her smile with her new possibles bag made it a worthwhile project.
I'd like to thank Dylan again for the beautiful knife he made for Joanna's kit.

Outstanding!
-
Sweet. It's very nice when a plan comes together.
Good on all three of you.

Dylan: Outstanding work on that knife blade. It was an unexpected addition and very pleasant surprise when the bag arrived. Joanna will be hunting on the Sept 16th weekend and my bets is she will be using the bag and gutting a deer with that knife. Photos will be posted when that happens. AGAIN, thanks to Pat and Dylan.
-
The pleasure was mine, Jon. :OK Looking forward to the pic of Joanna with her 2017 deer.
-
Good Job Pat. You as always are much too much. I know she will always treasure it.
-
Thank you and your welcome JEB I was just happy to have a small part in a fun project ;D
I look forward to the pics of it in use when it happens :)

Here is a photo of Joanna's deer that she shot yesterday (Saturday). She did use the custom knife made for her to gut the deer with the help from her dad. She did not carry her Bear possibles bag with her. She saves that for special events like church. She can only carry it after mass but loves to show it off to her friends. Her words. Pappa, it's too nice to carry in the woods and I don;t want to get blood on it. Now there is confidence.
-
Well done, Joanna. Congratulations! Glad the knife worked out well fort you. Once the new wares off the bag you'll feel better about taking it to the woods. You know, that's what it's made for. ;)
-
Congratulations, Joanna, beautiful deer. :OK
-
Congrats on the deer. Way to break in the new knife. I also think the possibles bag needs to be shown off for a while. John
-
Congratulations Joanna, nice buck. You got a pretty good Pappa. He sure is proud of you.

Good work Ms Joanna. I bet your buck is bigger than any I get this year!
-
Congratulations on the buck, Joanna! Real nice rack, :-D, and a great looking knive, put to good use! What did you get him with? Glad to see ladies hunting, and making meat! My wife, Jacie, is actually ahead of me when it comes to getting deer! That is a really neat possibles bag, too; great work, Pat!
