I wanted to share a little video I put together. I filmed the whole process of making that last hollow limbed yew bow and edited the whole thing down to a 10 minute sped-up video showing it all from start to finish. It was fun to do but a lot of work. I hope you enjoy it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Wouldn't it be great if you could make a bow like that in 10 minutes?
Very cool video. Very interesting to see how someone else does it start to finish. Definitely worth watching.
-
Thanks guys! I definitely wish the sanding went that fast!
-
That was really cool Weylin, great job :OK
-
I enjoyed the video, I didn't realize how hollow the limbs really were till I watched this. Very impressive bow, all aspects. Your finish work is outstanding.
-
That was fun to watch Weylin, wish I could stitch up a handle that fast. :)
Now I have to find the post of this bow and see the still pictures.

Your a well oiled machine. Thanks for posting this video I really enjoyed it!
-
What glue did you use to glue down the back, and what did you wrap around it to keep it flat while it dries.
-
I used knox gelatin hide glue and I wrapped it with an old t-shirt cut into a long strip.

Great video , thanx fer sharin.
-
Very cool! Could you make it just a little longer ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Was that pumice in the stainless dish?
-

Killer looking bow and exceptional video. Not the farriers rasp, but what is the other rasp (scraper, really) you start using at around 0:55? You really use it a lot roughing out the grip/handle. Thanks!

I got blind because of the speed ...
... thanks for posting Master Weylin!

Bob, that's called a microplane. It's a good little tool, not dissimilar to a surform. I don't use it a ton but it's good for jobs like that.
-
That is GREAT! Cool to see how you do the process and use your Stave Master. I use one, also.
I would have loved to of seen that starting out! Can it be slowed down?
Cool accomplishment, Weylin.

Thanks Parnell. Isn't the stavemaster great? as for slowing it down, how many hours do you have? Haha ;D Some of my other videos are parts of this footage slowed down with narration over it talking about a particular part of the build. I have more I need to edit. but there is a little bit there.
