do ya keep your flinjt and steel in an altoids can. i do too. :)

yea or an old tin of sorts... ::)
why rubbermaid or plastic?
you can submerge the flint in water, and the steel and you then throw sparks hotter than any miro fuel torch can blow!

i like flint and steel it can be tough when wet and windy though. wind blows my tinder away!

trick is keep a piece of jute twine the 3/8 stuff, and flatten out the end closest to the striking edge and put a piece of char cloth on top.
strike a spark and get i glowin good and wrap jut around the char cloth, then tale other end and match up the ends and blow into flames.
it happens quick so be ready.
the rest you should already have gotten your nest material, and tinder to build fire WAYYY BEFORE YOU GOT A FLAME RIGHT??
thasssit.
