I intended to make my daughter in law a bow several bows ago. The first bow I started for her I ended up donating for a benift. The second bow I started for her came in a very nice shooting 64 lbs at my draw and I just had to keep it for my hunting and shooting bow. I finished this one up for her awhile back but between her busy schedule and our wet cold weather she hadn't been able to shoot it.
Yesterday was a nice one.
When you ask her how's it going she always replies "just peachie" . She is a very good daughter in law and deserving of a nice bow. She was in 4-H archery shooting f.g. Recurves as a youth. She now is a 4-H leader for our group. She is also a very good FFA advisor who spends many hours of her spare time helping her students. This is her first Selfbow it probably won't be her last.
HHB a little bit twisty and curvy. 64" n-n
44@26 western diamond backs I got from auction at Marshall last year
Handle Black Walnut- Mullberry-and juniper.
The top limb looks a bit stiff mid limb but it's bending. It has some twist that makes it look that way.
Glad to see her shooting it.

Very nice of you to make her a bow BJ. Great job.

Absolutely beautiful. Love the profiles, handle, tips, tiller, skins, and most of all, the look of happiness on Peachie's face!

You have a nice eye for color contrasts BJ.A very nice bow.Making bows to different paticular weights is challenging.Especially with different types of woods.Your right the top midlimb does look stiff. The resting profile is the teller of the truth. It looks perfect for her.Nice to have the same interests within the family.

Very nice BJ. Pretty soon everyone will be wanting one of your bows in their collection. You sure have those recurve figured out.

Thanks guys this one was long overdue.
Ed your right, it is nice having another Primitive Archer in the family. Since we got back from Marshall my wife has shot her bow almost every day. Yesterday both of my sons shot and also my son in law and grandkids.
Peachie wasn't the only one smiling. Everyone had big smiles especially me. I love to watch someone bend my bows especially family.
Takes me awhile to tiller ones like this. Really have to watch the whole bow bend. Much easier tillering the straighter less twisty ones.
Thanks for looking
