Hi Fellas I wanted to test out a core design (limb tappers, recurves & reflex) for a up coming composite bow but was going to use a osage lam in place of the horn but my main concern is the core draw weight I relies the osage in place of the horn isn't close so I was wondering if using a peace of 1/4 sawing maple kiln dried board would basically have the same tension resistance as a decrowned stave ? at least in the ball park ?
