At 47 no less.
A race was held in the heart of Toronto and I jumped in it at the last minute. Decided to run the elite/pro division because you only live once. Handily won my qualifying heat and finished third in the final. Won actual prize money. I was by far the oldest guy in the final.
#oldmanstrength.
Anyone else try this sort of thing? Makes you feel like a kid.
The best part was coming into the last three obstacles neck and neck with a guy probably 20 years younger and outsprinting him up a half pipe to the finish. :-D

Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment.

Congrats Pat.
My wife's older brother, he's mid 60's, is or maybe I should say was really into bike and ski racing. They found him in the ditch a couple years ago in Gatineau Park, he was getting ready for a race. Concussion, broken ribs, punctured lung and lots of bruises. He was in the hospital for several months and he still doesn't remember what happened.

Pat,
Congratulations! Real achievement! I will do my 30th Bolder Boulder 10km this year, but
I ain't going for the money, just survival. I am real careful riding, walking, and running anymore, always carry the id with insurance and contact info😀!
Marc, he must have taken a heck of a wallop to the head in that crash! We don't heal fast at our age.

I have run a few of these. I am doing one tomorrow morning. Congratulations on your finish.

Congrats Pat. Did you do it on one of your bamboo bikes?
-
No, this is just running, vaulting and scaling walls and climbing ropes etc. Basically like stuff you would see on a military training course.
