This morning on the way to therapy sometime shortly after breakfast I started to "fall asleep" (I don't drive, relax) and by the time I got to therapy I was in the midst of a full blown stroke.  I don't have much battery so I can't post much but i am still alive currently.  They did give me tPA and some of the effects are hetting better, but I lost my shooting eye looks like.  Just blessed to still be here.

So I'm home, and resting, but the past few days have been more than a little stressful.  It turns out that what I had was a hemiplegic migraine with aura, which is a fancy term for "we can't tell it from a stroke without lots of testing."  Hemiplegic migraines are even listed as dangerous, which I learned while I was there as well.  But, there's a serious upshot-I should have no lasting effects from the incident, which means I should be back working on this old crepe myrtle stave sometime next week.
Having had actual strokes with permanent damage, I couldn't tell the two apart.  I just hope the new medication keeps them away.

Glad your on the mend. I'm no doc but I get Migrane headaches and lose some of my vision until they pass. It's pretty scary the first time it happens.

We'll be hoping for the best!  We are almost all in the stage where we have to be aware of what the body tells us, and seek help a sap when it ain't right!
