been staying up late a few nights lately and got these made.
-
I put some dressing on this one and attached it to a braided sinew string
-
Great work! Really like your combination with the feather. I wonder if I could catch a snook with that...
-
Nice hooks
-
Last night I made this circle hook from raw gravel.
I've been trying to make one of these for a while now and finally managed to get one made with the point still there and turned in towards the shank pretty good. This is gonna be used on a set line with bait to catch catfish hopefully at the Niblets Bluff knap in coming up next weekend.
I can set it out and keep an eye on it while knapping near the water there.
The sinew string is really time consuming to make but I have enough to set two lines I think.
I'll post a fishin report first of next week. :)

Thanks,
Parnell, I'm not familiar with snook but I've caught a few fish with them. Bass, warmouth, and bream perch.
I also have some bigger hooks made to put on a trotline with the goal being to catch a 40 pound catfish on one. I've neglected stone hook fishing the last couple years due to my hand issues but I'm anxious to get back at it now and catch some fish.

Real nice 1442, looks like it's time to get them wet. Good Luck on that 40 lb cat

That all looks great! Purty sure I'd messed that up a few times fore I figured it out.
-
those are so cool. How much weight could be placed on one? Experiment?
-
Those are nice.
-
Nice. Working art...............
-
awesome hooks !!! :OK
-
Thanks
Here's another circle hook from a Georgetown flake

Spearment

That's a soft leather strap around the hook point to pull with.
The last hook held to ten pounds then broke at eleven on the next pull.
Five pounds of pull is plenty to catch fish with.
-
Those are just too cool
-
those are nice, have you ever used one to catch a fish? Ed

Like to see the looks you'd get when you take out your tackle box 1442
