Anyone having difficulties posting? Myself and a few other Mods are experiencing this and we need to see how extensive it may be. If you have trouble while typing a reply, the curser disappears and you have to click it again to continue, let us know so we can get to the bottom of it.
Thanks
Pat

Happened to me Friday afternoon. I closed my browser, reopened and it was fine.
-
We will look into fixing the problem. Please be patient.
-
Yep I have been having trouble, doing ok right now but has done it a few times already this morning, very annoying. :)

Hasn't happened to me at all but I use Mozilla all the time for PA. I am using the new windows though but that shouldn't make any difference

I am having a terrible time time posting today. The cursor disappears after every letter I type. It took several minutes to make this post.

Happened to me this morning also.
-
It seems to come and go.

This keeps happening to me when I try to post from my computer. But posting from my phone seems to work ok.

Can you try installing uBlock Origin (google it) and see if that stops it?
-
I don't know if your problems are related to what I used to have but my cursor used to jump all over the place while writing on my laptops. I fixed the problem by downloading a small app called TouchFreeze. I've used the app with Vista, W7 and W10 and never had that problem again
-
Yep. I have to type REALLY slow. I'm glad it's working somewhat ... for now. The curser disappeared three times during this message.
-
Yes, lots of problems today.
-
I haven't been able to post any pics at all, not even a profile pic.

Something I've noticed about the posting problem. If it starts doing it to me I'll leave the PA window open and just leave it alone for several minutes. I'll open another tab and go to other forums. They will be working fine. After maybe 5 or 10 minutes I'll go back to the PA window and it will be acting normal again. I can make multiple posts and everything works as it should. I'm not sure if this info helps :-\

Having problems as described, right now!
-
So I'm trying to troubleshoot this and I've got it narrowed down to a few options but I'm wanting to narrow it down further.
I've asked this of the mods, but for anyone having problems, what browser are you using. Please reply here.
Thanks

Chrome. It hasn't happened to me in a few days. It's very sporadic.
-
You guys are just gonna have to accept the fact that Chrome and IE are not friendly to this site
-
Yep, both are the ones I am using. Right now it is not effecting me, and am using Chrome. Think Marc is right, for whatever reason. >:(
-
That's too bad. Not that Marc is right, but the fact the two most popular browsers wont work on PA.

Primitive browsers only buddy ;)
Thanks Leroy

It's not that they won't work. I just need to figure out how to fix them and why this problem just started a month ago.
I'm on firefox and I've never had an issue with the forums.
I know Safari (Mac computers) works fine as well.
Edge does not work, but edge doesn't work on anything soooo...
The biggest issues are with IE11 and Chrome, which share the same settings on your PC.
For anyone interested, the actual issue with with IE/Chrome cache settings. I've had a few users clear their IE/Chrome cache and cookies, etc and the forum will work fine for a week or so. Something isn't letting the PA forums cache normally for IE/C users, and that's what I'm getting to the root of.
-
What can PA do to help? I can't buy a new computer just to log on to PA.
-
Well Pat, I would suggest you download the Firefox browser, it's free, and start using that. Then your headaches will disappear :D
-
I use Win10/ Chrome and haven't ever emptied my cache. I've had no problems, ever.
-
I'm on a Google Chrome Pad. It only uses Google.
