Title: Width of sinew for wrapping nock and point?
Post by: Hawkdancer on February 11, 2017, 06:39:33 pm
How wide should the wrap strands be?  3/16". 1/4"?  Same as artificial?  Thanks

I use fairly thin sinew for arrow wraps, about the same as thin artificial sinew or smaller.

I agree with Pat - sewing thread thin. Makes a nice neat wrap. Bob

I think he's asking how much of the shaft do you cover with the wrap? I do only 1/4 or less on the nock end and a good inch on the point.

I do the same as Aaron, basically one strand of back sinew for the nock and 2 or 3 strands of back sinew for the point.
