Title: Some friends in the bow shop
Post by: osage outlaw on January 28, 2017, 06:35:13 pm
Danznbar and Gutshot came over to my place for a day of bow making and eating.  Bill was nice enough to leave behind a little scalloped hickory bow.  It was nice to share my workshop with a couple of good friends.

Gutshot brought a snakey osage stave to work on.

Danznbar finished up a big bowie knife

Today's lunch was provided by Danznbar.  Gutshot cooked the desert but I forgot to get a picture of that.

Thanks Clint for having us over...Had a great time..
Finish up that little hickory bow for me and bring it to Moontree :) ;)

Ed that shop is the most organized, neat and clean shop I've ever been in.  I was afraid to make shavings.  I was impress and inspired to come home and clean my up.

Thanks again Clint

Makes you look distinguished, Clint.
Looks like lots of fun.  When you get 2 or more bow builders together food happens.   ;)

Yep, we've now been introduced to Prof Outlaw! I see that you enjoy an occasional cup of java.

For many, we live far enough apart from one another to make get-togethers such as this difficult. Making it all the sweeter when it is pulled off!

You can still hit a growth spurt at 37 can't you JW?  Mountain Dew used to be my coffee.  I'd go through 2 liters or more every day.  I'm a few months shy of 2 years without a Mt. Dew or any caffeine.  I stopped cold turkey and haven't looked back since.

We sure did.  I might have got it a little to warm in there.  Danznbar kept shedding more and more clothes.  I was afraid to look his direction at one point.

I tried to keep that little stove a cooking with the shavings I was making. (It really puts off the heat) Bill had to put his famous blue sweat rag around his head to keep from dripping sweat on that big knife he was working on.
