These are replicas inspired by assorted tribes across the eastern United States woodlands I started work on them last spring and recently finished them up.
These were split or cut shafts of hickory with one or two oak thrown in there. Most of the originals were not fletched. Three of them I ended up fletching because that is what the originals had.

Thanks for the kind words folks. as for flight. They do well. One had some slight symmetry problems and flies off to one side. Blunts really need to be perfect all the way down till they meet the shaft. Thanks for looking.

What size wood did you start out with?

Very nice set of arrows. :)

On the big green one I started with a 1" square blank. The others were 1/2" blanks.

The blunts look like the arrows we made when I was a kid. We never had feathers when we wanted them and the big blunt put the weight forward so they would fly OK. I never considered them "real" arrows. I guess I was wrong.
