Fingers hurt... didn't anyone tell you that your not supposed to poke yourself with the needle.
Thats a real nice looking set there bub, there doesn't seem to be much left that you can't make buddy.
-
Awesome! I just screen shot that pic off fb. Didn't realize it was yourun. Nice work man!' dp

Really nice Bubby, I know that finger hurts part. Always seems like I'm either poking my finger, or wishing I had a thimble, or just plain stiff old fingers don't like to do that job anymore. The finished product looks like it was worth it 👍

Excellent tooling and construction bub.I'm sure your son will like it.
I've still got my old starter kit for tooling vegetable tanned leather with the basic stamps and swivel knife from 40 years ago.Take it out once in a while to do a project too.
Pre punching holes helps you know....lol.Even if done with an ice pick which is the way most times I like to do it.
-
Great looking sheath bubby. I'm sure your son will be proud to carry that one around, I sure would be.

Thanks everyone😃 fingers just get sore pushing and pulling the dang needle. I need to build a stitching horse. I do punch holes even made a gang punch

You know what I started doing? My dad came up w the idea and told me. I'm sure we are far from the first, but now a days I glue my seam using tb3, clamp for half an hour then mark where I want the holes and drill press them w a 5/64th bit. Works awesome. I have a four prong fork, but the thinkness of leather I've been using it took me longer to pull the fork out then it does go drill them all.
