I made several "kitchen" knives this year for the ladies in the family. These are for a sister-in-law and her daughter. These are made from a very old carpenters saw blade I sheared and reduced. The one on the left has an autumn olive handle and is for the mom, the other in the sheath has an ipe handle and is for the daughter. I was already making these when my niece saw some of my other knives and told my wife that she wished uncle Derik would make her a knife so I finished her's as less of a kitchen knife and made the sheath too. I'm really happy with the way the sheath came out. These will be given to them tonight. Thanks for lookin, dpgratz
