I like everything but the string.

Ditto what Zuma said Soy, you can use pine pitch glue or 5 minute epoxy to. That will take out any wiggle.

If you want some imitation black or  light brown sinew I have several small rolls. I would send you one of the colors. My gift.

You could also use sewing thread and pitch or glue.
