I've always liked Arby's.  Now I like them even more.

I seen that this morning, they can't be all bad. I had one last evening, wasn't from Arby's kitchen though, it was from Miss Joanie's kitchen.  :) ;) Very tasty. :)

For once it is not me offending many people's sense of humor with the puns.  >:D

And you don't know how hard it is for me to resist because puns are near and deer to my hart!

I wonder how this is possible actually, as many states have a law against selling any part of the deer.

It is captive bred stock:

Add the . back in between the www and the forbes.com when you cut and paste the above broken link. (Taking Pat B.'s multiple warnings to heart here!)

Am I the only one that thinks "captive bred stock" with regards to deer is a little off? I mean I guess not. We do it with cows and chickens but it just feels wrong for some reason.

Makes me wonder if this is actually a meat producer, or like the Elk guy near me. He only harvests antlers, pumping the animals full of hormones to get giant racks, and selling them to Asia as medicine. Until they get old, then he slaughters them, and makes jerky, and sells it on the side of the highway.

There are comercial wild game farms. I read somewhere that what is sold as venison is mostly red stag which is closer to an elk than a deer

There is a commercial game farm just south of me. They raise fallow deer. I went down there to see if I could get some sinew. He was agreeable but when he showed me the deer they were about the size of a German Sheperd. The leg sinew was(dried) about 1/8" by maybe 6". I think you would need a hundred legs to sinew a bow ;)
