Title: Proceed as is?...
Post by: Cloudfeather on October 14, 2016, 08:00:47 pm
I'm working on this old piece of Osage. She has a bit of snake and is looking good so far. The only conundrum is this: there is some reflex off the handle into the upper limb and deflex off the handle into the lower limb.

Do I use a little heat and even it out, or just proceed as is? This picture is canted to show how straight the limbs are in relation to one another, it's just the handle section that has a little whoopty do in it. Lol

Any thoughts?

Just tiller it out. You won't know the difference.

  Good looking bow!

Thanks, Steve. Was originally going to get spoonbill skins, but I couldn't get them to lay flat or anything. Going to tiller it out and throw some rattlesnake skins on it instead.
