I got a dead yew branch 3 days ago. So far I have the general shape and bending good for a few inches. I rubbed her down with paste wax and will give it a few weeks to lose all the extra MC, It has a little reflex some curves, a couple knots and lots of pin knots. Just under 50 inches long, no idea how much the draw weight may be.
It came off this branch at a 45 degree angle:

Just above where bow crosses over the other branch you can see some dark discolouration, there was a bare spot on the bow there from a wind rub.

My first time using yew for a bow, great wood!

Cool project .... real "primitive” !!! Take your time , let it bend gradually ...
