I knapped the head of a bit of tile debris i found while walkong the beach. Im new to napping so this was a major accomplishment. The shaft is either a river or switch cane i jarvested. The fletch are two fletch neon yellow turkey for easier to find. They are tied on with jute cordage so I can adjust the fletching until I get good flight. Then I will glue them down. Tje point is tied on with sinew I chewed then wrapped, and added a drop of superglue to hold it. Eventually I will get some pitch glue. It weighs in at 456 grains. I am hoping it is stiff enough for my 65 pound short bow. I plan on tuning it by shooting a hay bail, then it will be my hunting arrow sunday.

Looks like your off to a good start on your stone point arrow building quest Sleek. I have found building stone points arrows, with shoot shafts to be very rewarding and way more technical than I originally thought. A person can spend a lot of time making matched spine and wieght arrows. Knowing the person I think you are I'm betting your arrows will evolve and improve as mine have. For me it is a fascinating past time. Eventually bare shafting with target points and then knapping points to match target point wieght are the way to go for tuning arrows to bow. I can't quite tell from your pictures did you wrap sinew on notch end of shaft if not make sure you do before shooting. The sinew is really to keep shaft from splitting. The pine glue actually does most of the holding point on. If you can find some 4" foam insulation works pretty good for target. I also use my black hole block target but it's pretty hard on my target. Love your arrow good luck
