Guava self bow. 63 inches ntn. 24lbs at 28. Iron wood tips (Australian pine) She is pretty accurate out to about 15 yards.
We had a blast!

Joking, that's a mighty fine bow from my perspective, worked with Guava once, a stave full of knots that still proportioned me with a great bow, it'a awesome flexible wood.

Thanks everyone! We will be having more fun with it in the future. In a few months I will make her one closer to 35 lbs.
Knotty, We both just came in from a surf, The beach is just at the end of the dirt road pictured. We both take em off when we surf so we don't donate them to the fish gods.

nice bow... what part of the USA are you that you found guava? i'm in miami and have been searching without luck for any that i can cut...

Hawaii. All islands have Strawberry guava. Its extremely invasive and you can cut it pretty much anywhere.
