Here's 3 poplar arras i spun out the veritas dowel maker. They are barrel tapered. 11/32 point end 3/8 center shaft to 11/32 nock end. I also used Pat B's style taperin jig.
-
They look good Mike, those tapers should make 'em fly clean.
-
Awesome! tapered arrows are the best

Those are some good look'n arra's Mike, always wondered about those dowel mak'n jigs.. Just might have to invest in one.
BTW love those self nocks on those dowel arra's. ;)

same barrel taper as others , but with plastic nocks and lipstik
-
The poplar shafts I got from Charlie Jefferson(also with Veritas) are tough as nails. Hope you get the same results. I think Charlie also ran his shafts through a compression block.

Hey Mike ...like the shape of the fletching...how are you doing it?

Bill, i use 3 Rivers feather chopper. It's a 5" shield cut but i adjust it to a wider cut. I just like a fatter cut feather
-
Yeah ...I like it ...will go good with broadheads......

Mike, did ya spine test them? Just curious . . . . .
-
Yeah Mike, they spined at 2 at 46# and 1 at 48#. Shootin em out of 50# bow and they're perfect. Even shot em out of lower # bow and no prob.

Cool ;)...........

i think for the price ya can't beat em.

Very nice. I too have also started using taller fletchings for my broadheads. Makes a big difference if you ask me.
