I just finished putting the snake skin on an Osage bow that has a lot of character. My question is what to do with the edges. My original intention was to bring the skin over the edge and trim along the side of the bow, following the contours of the back. But I've been wondering if it would be better to fade the edges in on the back of the bow...not bring them over.
Any thoughts or experiences?

I always fade the edges, they blend in much better when the finish is applied. I use 220 grit on a rubber sanding block, and just work the edge.

Perfect! Thanks Dano.
That's what I was hoping to be able to do, just wanted to hear it from someone else that it would work.
