Title: Best online store for sinew?
Post by: Turtle dragon on August 10, 2016, 09:48:08 pm: Hey guys, I'm looking for sinew online, it tough looking because it's a rareish item and a lot of the time it's unfeasibly expensive for bow making purchases, any one know the best place to get reliable and bulk/cheap sinew?

Post by: mwosborn on August 10, 2016, 10:30:01 pm: You might be able to trade for some on here. Sinew is a lot of work, I am not sure there is a "cheap" source! Several of archery stores sell it. Good luck.

Post by: bjrogg on August 11, 2016, 07:49:42 am: If you live by a local slaughter house you might get some beef sinew. If you have hunting buddies tell them how to harvest it and ask them to save it for you.

I found him from his ad in Primitive Archer. Have bought a number of antelope rawhides from him for stupidly cheap prices. About as thin as the cardstock you use for printing business cards, and every bit as tough as you could hope! He's a great guy, and an honest dealer. I haven't talked to him in years, did he move to Wyoming, he was in Colorado?
