Hi Fellas I could have probably asked this on a PM , but figured I would do it hear in case some body else has the question , here is the horn I receive not as strait as described but none the less it's what I have to work with, in the Beadmans horn prep a long he straitened the horn after rasping the ridges but his was a lot straiter then this one,it seems to me it would be a lot of horn to heat , is it possible to cut this horn on a center line & straiten the 2 peaces or go ahead and straiten it while uncut ?

Stickbender....Cut your horn with a line straight up and down along the curvature of your 3rd picture so as to get a reflexed half and a deflexed half. After hollowing it out as in the build a long when you heat to flatten it they will be the same then after that process.Hope I worded that right for ya.

Ok thanks Ed I know you straitened yours before so wasn't sure , but what you said makes total sense Thanks

When they show to sell those on ebay or whatever it's nice if they show different views of it.I don't buy it if they don't.Male horns are shorter and thicker/females are skinnier and longer as a general rule.

Lol I emailed the guy & asked about it,he said it was fairly strait told him I was using it for a bow guess he only looked on 1 side , so that's what I ended up with
