All my thoughts were getting clouded with this craving for a tattoo so I made an appointment. Got there and the guy had an accident and nearly cut off his thumb. So I went to his buddies shop and we pieced together this tattoo from images on here and Google. Now I'm wanting one on my other arm.

Very cool. I've got a broken arrow below a deer skull on my shoulder. I have had the itch for a new one for a long time. I've got a design picked out already.
-
I live within my body. I don't want it to look
like a comic book.
But I have absolutely no problem with others
using ink to the MAX.
Oh! I have a birth mark on my butt. That's enough

Not for me , but that one is cool. :)

Nope, it is the for life part that turns me away from the things. One looks at things much differently later in life than they do when they are young. At 68 I sure wish I had done some things differently when I was young and reckless, especially the things you can't take back, no do-overs.

Nice artwork there but no tattoos for me either.
-
Nice artwork. I have a few tats and don't regret any of them. I doubt I'll get another...but who knows! ;D
-
I don't regret any of mine. I look at them as similar to putting snake skins on a bow or women getting there ears or other areas :o pierced
-
Piercings jewelry tattoos I like it all, course I was raised with 8 sisters so maybe it just seems normal ha
-
I don't have any but I want one, I'm just to wishy washy to decide what and where, lol.
Hey Eric, I read they are in the final testing of temporary tattoos, they last for about 5-8 years IIRC then go away.
-
I am the only one in my immediate cluster that does not have one. Don't want one either. I can appreciate the art on someone else....
-
I've got a couple. probably the only way I'd get another is if it's free. Then again, I just hired a guy that had his own Tattoo Business for 20 years. ::)
-
I got a buddy that is a pro tattoo artist. He's been featured in several trade magazine articles, so he's a bit above par when it comes to skill levels. Every time he sees my flawless milky white skin, he cries a little. Poor guy, all I ever do is tease him.
-
I wish I had got the itch now instead of when I just turned 18 and could legally get my first bargain basement efforts with the limited cash I had...oh well, ::) not as bad as some though, I knew one bloke who had a topless beauty (with a suggestive graceful arching back) done on his arm, everything looked good apart from the tattooist put the pelvic lines in upside down...so he got a topless beauty that looked 9 months pregnant, and another guy had a questionable looking eagle done on his neck with a dodgy looking beak...needless to say his nickname from then on was 'budgie'. :)
Definitely something that needs to be considered and not rushed into.
Cool looking tats by the way, 8)

Two things you never buy used or on the cheap...parachutes and tattoos!

At work we tell guys without tattoos that they still have their baby skin ;D

Doesn't the arrow look disproportional if you measure the fletchings ?
Anyway, not a fan of tattoos , I prefer to not modify my body in any way.. That's just me.
-
The arrow looks pretty sick and I like the placement. I've still not ventured into any tattoos that are visible apart from being shirtless but I really like that one. I have been mulling over a bow and arrow set on my right shoulder for about 3 years and am glad I waited now that I am getting into selfbows.. I might have had fiberglass tattooed on!! I have found a little to my surprise that I really don't regret any I have gotten as they really do chronicle where you were at and the mindset you were in at that particular stage in life. I definitely second the being hasty part though.. Emotions and inspiration even come and go like the waves; my wife has zero interest in getting one ever. Everyones got their own tastes that's for sure.

Just this past January I did. See what happens when you let the kids boss you around.
I guess the tough guy image is blown :P
-
Most people either love or hate tattoos. I love em, some of criticisms from people who have never got one are hilarious.
-
I have lots of tattoos. The more you get the less significant a single tattoo one is. I love a well done tattoo, that arrow looks cool. I only have one archery related piece, but I'd love more.
-
DuBois that is awesome I love those kind of tats... gonna get the kids to do something like that. cheers- Brendan
-
Tracker, congrats on your new work.
JW, I agree. I have several and all but 2 are now "repaired" covered from when I was young and they were "cheap" One is what you just saw and the other is a bulldog that was supposed to be a bison. Go figure?
Brendan and WizG, Yeah this one has the most meaning since they each drew their parts and letters and Aidan has an arrow dotting his I 8)
Have to wait and see what the teenage version will say
-
love the ink ya got. i've got quit a few archery tattoo's and other primitive type art work all over myself. right arm sleeve , left fore arm sleeve, big back pieces, both legs. yes i have a couple that look like crap, but just young and dumb at the time. and i guess now just older and dumber cuz i got another appointment for this thursday for more ink. at least 40 times in the chair over the past 20 years.
-
That is the coolest tattoo Dubois! My sons turning 3 this month and I've already told him he gets my left calf. I was thinking birthday and something meaningful but letting him draw it will be way more fun! Except it'll be a train or paw patrol probably... I'm glad someone else mentioned the fletchings, they do look a little long, but it's not perfect and neither am I or my own arrows so that makes it perfect. I'm hoping when I grow up I still love my tattoos, a cover up on my shoulder would just be a giant black hole haha
-
Hey, if anyone gives you crap about the long fletchings just tell them it's a Manchu arrow, lol.

Got me laughing there Urufu , good one! Lol
-
I have a band of circle hooks, on one leg, and Tenkara in Japanese on the other. I kinda like fishing.
-
What's now? Tattoo, diapers,tattoo,diapers,tattoo,diapers,,,, ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :'(
-
Never got any tats, i always heard chicks dig scars so ive been colecting them for years😜
-
I have my kids portrait tatted on me, well 2 of the kids anyway. I want to get the other 2 kids portrait tatted soon.
-
I might have a couple...or maybe a dozen ;) I was a full time tattoo artist a while back, hence the name. Needed a more consistent pay check, so I cut my hair and got a real job, (good song reference there). Anyway, I always have the itch to get more.
